Summary of Medical Question:

18 year old son

Posted by:

ali osborne

my18 yr old son was a fit rugby player until january when he came home one night after a hard training session.Later on the night he suffered severe chest pains and shortness of breath(no wheezing). This continued for months until he can no longer train and play anymore. He had a ct scan and was treated for blood clots in both lungs, put on warfarin for the last 2 months, but it has made no difference in the pain.other tests show lungs functioning ok ans too the heart altho 1 scan showed a large heart, but we were told this is probably due to his training.they now say it may not be clots and he is a puzzle and just has a breathing disorder.i am not happy atall with this as he is constantly having these sudden and sharp pains around the chest area.Any ideas? the only way i can describe it is as a car that was running brilliantly and then suddenly something blew in the engine.can anyone help us.we went to australia at xmas for 3 weeks, hence the suspected clots. Also when he had colds for the past 2 years they always lasted ages and had a nasty cough.I am wondering if these may have caused longterm damage.

Summary of Medical Question:

multiple bodily infections,why?? Isnt normal!!

Posted by:

Jess

Hello. My name is jess. Im a 22year old female. The only health condition that i have that wont go away even after 4 surgries is endometriosis it just keeps getting worse over the years, had it since age14. The problem that i am facing now and cannot understand is: Are there any conditions or underlyning medical problems that may be a little harder to find if you dont know what you are looking for when it comes to having multiply infections? As of the week(not enough space to tell about whole month) I current have the flu, kidney infection, complete UTI, sinus infection, oh, and ive been passing kidney stones all day or at least for the last 18 hours. Ive gotten used to staying sick over the years but up until this month have i ever had more than 2 infections. Also my wisdom teeth are growing through my back jaw Bone! I am in more pain than anyone could ever fathom. This is almost enough to think crazy thoughts. Not about harming myself, my body does enough of that as it is. Its just hard to get out of bed b/c99% of the time is just to difficult. 1 more thing all urine samples over the last 2 years have had blood and high white cell count, along with something else i dont remember. IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Im way to young to be suffering like this and i really dont know how much more i can take before i have a mental breakdown. Thanks Again.

Summary of Medical Question:

the pill and smoking

Posted by:

courteny

I started the 28 pack of Aviane birth control on Tuesday, and I had two smokes yesterday, and one today. I know I'm not supposed to smoke on the pill but I know how this will go. I'm not addicted yet, and I have smoked before for long term and was never addicted.
I was wondering if I should switch pills, or if the result would be mild, or whether to go off the pill. Please don't tell me to stop smoking, its not the answer I'm looking for. I'm 13.

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

Dear Courteny, you know the right answer. Do some introspection- what do you want to do or achieve in life? You want to have pleasure at this stage and suffer rest of life or you can restrain at this stage and succeed in life. God bless you.
