I had my son on June 11,2010, I'm strictly formula feeding, and have been having unprotected sex, when should I test?

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

You can go for the pregnancy test and if it is negative, repeat it every week. For the health of mother and baby there should be minimum gap of 2 years between two babies. Please plan keeping it in view.

Summary of Medical Question:

I have chest and back pain

Posted by:

KEVIN

I got tb and had 2000cc fluid removed from the lung i then went through the course of meds.
It has been 2 months since i finished the meds and i am still in a lot of pain.it hurts out the chest and back when i breath it hurts more at the end of the day especially when sitting.i had a course of meds to reduce the inflamation in my lung but that didnt work so i am told to keep taking pain killers. My bloods are good my white bloods are slightly low but thats it. How long will the pain last?

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

Tuberculosis lesion takes long time to heal completely. Take deep breathing exercises that will increase your lung capacity and will also reduce pain. You need to be sure that the disease is completely cured and has not reoccured, for which you need to get it reviewd periodically with the physician/ Chest Specialist who treated you.

Answer by voluntary user(s)

Mr kevin
Do deep breathing exercies daily and review with the treating physician.

You should avoid steroid containing drugs. They potentiate diabetes. Secondly steroid eye drops can cause glaucoma in the eyes. Please consult eye specialist in a proper eye hospital like RP Center of Ophthalomology at AIIMS, New Delhi or Guru Nanak Eye Institute at LNJP Hospital, New Delhi.

Can you have a normal period and be pregnant? When does morning/all day sickness begin?

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

It is not possible to have normal menstruation and pregnancy together. Morning sickness varies from individual to individual. In most cases it starts within few weeks of conception and lasts for first 3 months.

Summary of Medical Question:

all in the email

amel ibrahim

Dear doctor
I'm writing to you to tell about my problem. Desperately hoping that you could help me. It affected me so bad that I don't have friends or a job because I'm too self conscious to go out of the house.
I am 25 year old black dark girl from somalia i live in syria. Since i reached puberty(age 9) i've been stragling with pimples and acne in my face, neck, chest, arms, and back i used a lot of products and went to a lot of doctors but nothing worked for me until recently a pharmacist advised me to use a combination of: Beta salic, Retinoid, Panthenol, Hydrpquinone. It really worked for me. My face is pimples free. Now would it wound my face if i used it continuously? Because the Beta salic causes local atrophy of the skin, striae and superficial vascular dilation particularly on the face. Although the Panthenol heals and regenerates the skin and Retinoid grows new cell tissue to replace dead or damaged cells. Does Beta salic causes hair growth on the face?
I tried to use it on and off but the pimples kept on showing after two days so i really need to use it continuously. Please answer me by an email

Your faithfully
Amal

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

You can continue these chemicals without any problem. There won't be any hair growth on face. Secondly, acne will not continue for ever. After few years it will gradually disappear. We all have passed though this problem- some more, some less. Cheer up!

Summary of Medical Question:

help me please for gods sake

Posted by:

Doc, I am 28 years old and have been diagnosed with PCOS, Polycystic ovary syndrome. My insulin level is very high...35 now. I am taking Glucophage 850 three times a day and another tablet Diane 21 to regulate my menstrual cycle. I am over weight and I cant help to reduce it. I try sometimes by walking and exercising but till now I am not getting any results. My weight is 82 kgs. my parents and grandparents were diabetic and my endriconologist says that i am going thru prediabetic stage too

So what would you suggest me to do to bring down my insulin level and to maintain my weight.?
I have been diagnosed with this over 2 years ago. First I was taking glucophage 2 times a day (250 mg) and now last year when I went to a new doc (endocrinologist) she wrote more thn 20 blood tests and abdomial, ovarian ultra sounds. After seeing the results she told me that it's good that my blood pressure is under controlled/normal. (120/80) and then she said its a slow process and we need to treat more thn one thing. To keep your hormones working normally.
My estrogen or progesterone cycle had some problems. Over that time I didn't menstruated for 6-7 months. But now after taking diane, my menstrual cycle has become normal. And doc I don't have pregnancy issues. I just want to get NORMAL. My body weight is causing a lot of trouble to me. I don't eat much but i have cravings for sweets.

Last year my insulin level was 25 but now even when I have started taking Glucophage 3 times a day with the dosage of 850 mg. I insulin level has increased to 35 this year. I don't know what to do. Currently from june 2010 I have stopped taking both the medicines. Glucophage and diane. My doc is writing me hundreds of tests from the well known and very expensive laboratory here and I can't seem to afford them and her high fees everytime. Please help me what to do? I am very confused and tensed about my situation.

I have facial hair, and i haven't taken any medicine for them till now. I just go with the face wax, 2 times a month.

Everyone tells me if my weight goes down everything will be alright. Is that so? But I cant help my weight. My BMI is 35 right now.

Please if you can suggest what should I do now. I just want to get rid of it and be normal as soon as possible.

Summary of Medical Question:

Child Feeling Sick

Posted by:

JP

My son comes to visit every three to four weeks. He is 11 years old, and has a low BMI, but not low enough to be considered underweight. he however looks very thin, is pale, and is generally cold all the time.

The last time he came about 4 weeks ago, he spent two nights crying, shivering, feeling sick and had bad diahrea, but was ok during the day. When I took him home to his mum, she put it down to a stomach bug, and it was left at that.

Last night he was crying again, saying he was afraid of being sick. This is unusual for him. He said he felt sick, and regularly felt sick throughout the day, but he only felt bad at night.

His mother refuses point blank to take him to the doctors, or tell me who his doctor is, so I am not sure what to do next.

He cannot eat sweets, fizzy drinks, ice cream etc without getting diahrea, but it hasn't been investigated by a doctor. He also struggles with other types of food, so what he will eat is extremely limited. He says he feels sick a lot, and has a lot of stomach pains.

Any advice would be grately appreciated!

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

Diarrhoea is likely to be due to infection in the intestines. Try antibiotic- norfloxacillin tablet 200 mg twice daily for 5 days. Secondly for strengthening his digestion give him probiotic or lactobacilli preparation regularly for several months. Ask him to eat anything of his choice. If the condition is not improved, investigations will have to be done for which you need to consult a physician.

You need to reduce your diet- total food that you take. Stop sugar and sweet items totally. Avoid carbohydrates, starch and junk foods. Take regular exercises- long walks, cycling etc.If possible take yoga exercises. Periodically get your blood sugar checked and take antidiabetic drug- glucophage regularly as advised by physician based on your blood sugar report.
