If there is allergy, stop the medicine immediately. Give him some anti allergy drug like allegra 30 mg. If ther is no relief in few hours or if the condition is deteriorating, please take him to the hospital.

Hello
i\'m 21 years old. Height is 4\'10\" weight is 70 lbs.
i had my period on 24th april then a long break during which i went to a doctor who gave me primoult N for 7 days but it did not induce periods so i went for an ultrasound which was clear. i had my period on 12th july. this month i missed my periods. this has never happened before.
please tell me what should i do? what could be the possible reason of delay?

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

Some more investigations can be done to identify the cause like dilatation and curettage with histopathology examination. In the mean time you can start taking oral contraceptive pills regularly. These pills besides contraceptive also help in regularizing menstruation.

Summary of Medical Question:

period problem

Posted by:

hleby

I am 19 and have been on birthcontrol for a year. I have only been sexualy active for about 8 months. When i started becoming sexualy active I stopped taking the sugar pills at the end of my birthcontrol pack. My periods got lighter and began to last only a few days. However, then I started missing periods. It has been two months since my last period and I have taken 7 pregnancy test and all are negative. Do you think Im pregnant?

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

21 hormone pills are necessary to be consumed in a month for contraception. Sugar or iron pills are not mandatory. If 21 pills are taken regularly, conception is unlikely. However, since there is amenorrhoea for 2 months it would be advisable to test for pregnancy. Home test kits are less reliable in the initial stages. You can repeat the tests weekly a couple of times. Or you can get blood tested for hCG (pregnancy). That is very reliable test.

Summary of Medical Question:

fall/accident

Posted by:

claire

i my husband on wednesday fell off go karting at some speed of about 60mph, and at first thought it was just a scratch, it is still bruising on the side (this has not totally come out yet). He is aching on his neck and his back not as much as it was but yesterday was getting a temperature and shivering in bed and was sick but blamed his food, then today been eating but saying he felt sick and has headaches at times, just generally doesnt seem himself.... should he go and be checked out?.... he was seen by nurse at the chemical plant he works at and she said to take cocodamol for the pain and no antiinflamatories as he is still probably bleeding inside...?

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

Since he has fever and shivering, it would be advisable to rule out any internal injury. You can also examine him- check each and every joint, their movements especially back bone/ spines and neck. Palpate abdomen and chest. If there is no sever pain at any point, all joints are free, it is likely to be alright. if you are not confident to do so, please get him checked by a doctor.

i woke up this morning with a rash on my buttock and vaginal area. It is red and bumpy, itches and burns, it is very uncomfortable and did not allow me to sleep. The entire vaginal area is quite swollen, i have been tested for std's and everything was negative. This is the second time it happen the first time was not so bad and cleared up within a day, but i did notice that it happened when i used a condom. Might i have a latex allergy? and what could i do for relief? i have tried aloe, diaper rash cream as well as ice. please respond asap

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

If these are red itching rashes scattered over an area and is not a single boil, it could be allergy. Take anti-allergy drug like tablet allegra 30 mg 1-2 per day. If it is unbearable, you can apply steroid ointment like betnovate in small quantity and stop it as soon as possible.

Summary of Medical Question:

welts in vagina

Posted by:

Elizabeth Hanna

Hi, I'm 20 and for the last couple of months anytime I don't wear underwear to bed my vagina has itched a lot. today I got tired of it and checked down there and found 1 or 2, couldn't completely tell, welts right by where I pee on the lining of the thing that covers your pee hole. They are colored the same as the rest of my skin down there only they're like little welts. they're around 1/8 or 1/4 inches wide and rounded on top and they itch a lot when there's not the pressure of underwear or tight clothing on it. I've never had sex before so it couldn't be an STD. I'm scared!

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

Try tablet azithromycin 1 gm single dose to treat any infection. Also please get it checked by a gynecologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

It could be due to UTI. Since you have been taking antibiotic for 6 days and the symptoms are not relieved, it seems antibiotic is not effective. Summary of Medical Question:

I had a natural miscarriage

Posted by:

Kim

I had a natural miscarriage two weeks ago. The bleeding stopped after one week. The last few days I have been getting cramps (like menstrual) and pain in my upper legs. Is this anything to worry about? I’m not sure how far along I was Maybe between 5 to 8 weeks. I had baby eight months ago and didn’t have a period yet because I’m breast feeding. This was not a planed pregnancy

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

In a miscarriage if the product of conception is not completely expelled out and if a part of it remains in the uterus, it can cause problems- cramps, bleeding and fever. If there is any symptom it would be advisable to get evacuation done. Please get yourself examined by a gynecologist.
