Summary of Medical Question:

eye condition

Posted by:

Gary

Last year around this time, some dirt got into my eye, and was lodged into the upper part of my left eye, under the eyelid. It stayed there for quite some time, and did not dislodge from my eye, as i have very dry eyes and do not create tears very easily. I went to a couple of optomotrists to see if they would be able to notice anything, but they said that there was nothing there. then after a while it somehow fell out of my eye and has left a small white bubble like a pimple under my eyelid, and is pushing on my eyelid. It does not want to pop or go down, nobody is able to help me, as they say that it is too small to cut out and i dont have a lot of money to go to an eye specialest, i also dont have a medical aid. I have tried a lot of eye ointments and drops, but nothing has helped so far. i am at my wits end and am desperate to come to a conclusion on this. i want to know what other eye ointments i can use besides what i have used so far. I have used Chloramax, Sulphedermide, Brolene and Speralerg. Please if you can give me some info on what else i can use, i will be very greatfull, as i have been sitting with this same problem for so long.

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

Gary, dust particles often injure inner eye lid or cornea. It is also possible that the particle is still inside and it got covered by tissues of inner eye lid. It need to be examined by an ophthalmologist and if required excess tissues need to be scrapped/ removed. Please consult an eye specialist. Drops and ointments are unlikely to be of any use.

Summary of Medical Question:

Stomach pain

Posted by:

Anonymous

For the past two week my boyfriend has had on and off pain in the lower right side of his stomach.. around the area where your appendix would be but on the right side of his body. It can range from mild to severe pain. His relatively healthy, on occasion has a drink or two on a Friday night or drinks if he goes out. Should he see a doctor or does it sound like something that will pass? Thanks

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

It would be dvisable to get his ultrasonography of abdomen done to rule out appendicitis or pancreatitis. These are serious conditions.

Summary of Medical Question:

pott spine

Posted by:

nikhil

hello
my son is on Rcinex 600+300, pyrazinamide 1500mg, Ethambutol 800mg for treatment of pott spine
which is an expensive combo in comparison to akt4
can he take akt4 and rifamipicin 150 mg in place of above combo
if he can in that case dose requirement will be met and we wl be saving lot of money also as akt4 contains Isoniazid 300 mg, rifampicin 450 mg, pyrazinamide 1500 mg and ethambutol 800 mg which is only 150 mg less than the above combo which can be met by giving additional tab of rifamipicin 150 mg
regards

Answer by FreeMedicalHelpline.com

Nikhil, you can give any brand of rifampicin 600 mg+ isoniazide 300 mg+ pyrazinamide 1500 mg+ ethambutol 800 mg. All these drugs (complete course) are available free of cost in government hospitals in India under RNTCP.
