I Am suffering from Allergy.In the morning time, I sneeze a lot and tears start coming out of my eyes along with some itching and running nose. I also cough on the day I get this allergy . I consulted a doctor and he prescribed LORFART, XENOBID(275mg)&EHUM200.I feel relieved only on the day i take these medicines.Give your advice in this case.

Take regular exercise- jogging/ skipping/ cycling etc. Take citrous fruits - lemon, organges, sweet lemon, amla etc. You will be alright.

Can a person of age nearly about 75 years undergo Knee replacement Surgery?If YES what is the cost and success rate of this surgery. The person is a heart patient and has been provided a pacemaker last year.He is also suffering from hyper-tension.

It seems difficult to operate a person of 75 years on pacemaker with hypertension. However, the possibility of knee replacement depends on the general condition of the patient. You may consult an anesthesiologist to assess the condition of your patient for surgery.

I have been having these spells. I will have a memory that I can't put my finger on then I will start to get flushed and nervous. Then I start to get sick feeling. this last for abot 2 to 3 minutes. Any idea what this could be. This happens several times a week.

I have SLE lupus and I took 2000 mg of the medication Cellcept every day, for couple of months. Now I have found out that I am pregnant since a week. I stopped taking the medication once I found out that I was pregnant. Is it possible that if I continue with the pregnancy that my child will be disformed even though I stopped taking Cellcept the moment on when I found out?

My dad is suffering from OSTEOPOROSIS for the last one year. He regularly feels pain in his knees. We consulted many Doctors and they said that it is due to the deficiency of CALCIUM in the body. A X-ray was also done and the reports revealed that the space between the cartilages is reducing. My dad feels that the size of his knees is getting reduced.So my question to you is that if there is any condition in osteoporosis in which the size of the knees gets reduced.Also Please give your advice regarding the dietary plans for vegetarian patient of osteoporosis and what is the effectiveness of taking calcium supplements in this condition.Please reply soon.

Besides osteoporosis, he seems to have osteoarthritis. He should take milk, fresh fruits and vegetables. Calcium suppiments can be taken but generally there is no benefit.Exercises can be useful in long term if he is willing to take. Seek advice of physiotherapist for exercises. Limited amount of pain killers can be taken for temporary relief.Finally if nothing works, knee replacement is the solution.

I am suffering from infrequent headache for about 1 year and frequent for last 10 days .I consulted a doctor and he prescribed me EMIDOXYN(5mg) and XENOBID(275mg) for a week.After taking medicines,i felt better for some time,then it again worsened and the pain started again.Another Doctor said that it was MIGRAINE and prescribed me SIDELIUM(10mg) and NUVEST FORTE for a month.Now,what is your advice in this case.Hope you reply soon.

For migrain, try capsule sumatriptan. Drug should be taken as soon as you get the indication that you are going to have headache, do not wait for the headache to develop. If it doesn't work, consult a physician/ neurologist.

yesterday i went into the clinic to get started back on birth control. while i was in there waiting i started getting red bumps on my chest that looked like acne. i went home and took my pill and went swimming. Then two hours after the doctors, i noticed that there are bumps on my neck and shoulders that resembled hives. i didn't eat anything different and i have no allergies that i am aware of. i thought i may be having a reaction to my birth control, but i have been using the same brand for 8 months. could it still be my birth control? i broke out again today 3 hours after i took it.

It seems to be allergic reaction. Sometimes body start reacting to something that we had been using earlier. Avoid all drugs, cosmetics, synthetic clothes etc and if rashes disappears, after few days try them again one by one and observe the results to identify the cause of allergy. The allergen has to be avoided for ever.

Everyday I vomit. This has been going on for months. I can eat something very small, half a sandwich and then my stomach swells. I have very sharp pains in the middle to right side of my back. I often cant go to the bathroom and when i do its black to dark red in color, my stool. Also have bad headaches when this occurs.

We need to rule out pyloric stenosis and cancer. Please get endoscopy and ultrasonography of abdomen done and consult a gastronetrologist/ physician immediately.

i am 79 years old i have had about 50 years old constipation.and i have used all the medications over the counter . i have visited many doctors in pakistan but useless.i don't feel urge for passing of the stools and keep on sitting in the bathroom for long time .some times i can do it but at times i have to come out without it.pleas tell me about it what can i do for this its annoying.

Constipation is a serious problem in some people especially in old age and there is no definite remedy. Few tips are useful if practiced regularly- drink plenty of water, take food with lots of rouphage like fresh vegetables and fruits. If modern medicines do not work, try some ayurveda or yunani medicines. If nothing works, try enema every week.

My father is 76 and live in the caribean, for over a year he's been complaining about constant itching of the leg, he went to see several doctors in NY, he had several test done, none of them revealed what he just heard today. Can he has siphilis. he just came from a local doctor in his hometown, he told him he has siphilis. he only have one partner and its my mom. she doesnt have those symptoms. my father also about 3 6 months ago start complaining about his leg, like he cant walk from far places. his leg got lazy. can he has those 2 stages together. the rash or itch and the limb problem?could that be really siphilis or it can be something else?

During old age there is often progressive weakness of knee joints and legs. This is a normal phenomena. There can be ideopathic pruritis or itching without any reason- possibly due to weakness of liver functions or there can be allergy resulting in itching. You may try antiallegic drugs- like chlorhistamin maleate/ allegra to relieve itching. Syphlis results in ulcer on penis and is a sexually transmitted infection. It can be confirmed/ ruled out with blood test for VDRL.

I have a weird lump on my face right next to my ear. I have noticed a slight pain the past two days. And tonight it is really bothering me. Earlier i was kind of massaging the area hoping that maybe that would help and felt a bump under the skin. Not like an acne bump. But like a muscle or something. I didnt push too hard on it cause what might happen. But Its really bothering me and i dont know what i can do to help it. Cold/hot compress maybe? I dont know how to explain wear it is. It isnt on the ear lobe but its up against my hear but i can feel it on my face when i press my finger there. I made a red dot on a picture i found to help understand where it is.
When i feel it. there is a light throbbing.

Throat feels weird after violent vomitting

Hi thank you for helping. Tonight I got sick from either salad and / or raspberries and after throwing up very violently I feel like I have something lodged in my throat. It feels like a tube is down my throat or something. Every time I swallow I can feel it. Do I need to go to the throat doctor to have him/her straighten out the lining of my throat? I feel like it's bunched up.
I know that sounds weird.

During violent vomiting the throat gets injured. It should be alright in a day. If it persists please consult an ENT specialist/ GP.
